Shannon McAlister is a Certified Child Welfare Case Manager and Permanency Specialist with Children’s Network of Hillsborough, where she supports children and families through trauma-informed practice. She holds an undergraduate degree in Sociology from Savannah State University. Shannon brings a unique perspective to her work through her personal experience of being adopted and navigating the child-welfare space, which informs her approach to advocacy, empathy, and permanency-focused decision-making.
She is currently pursuing a Master of Social Work (MSW) at Liberty University and brings both lived experience and professional expertise to her work with children and families. Shannon believes in the family unit and that improving relationships early can effectively change the trajectory of one’s life.
