Merry Schoch holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Florida Gulf Coast University (2008) and a Master of Social Work from the University of South Florida (2011. She is a Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern (License #: ISW 6961) and is a certified hypnotist. Her primary focus is a strengths-based perspective integrating such modalities as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, behavioral therapy, Animal Assisted Therapy, cognitive therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and hypnosis. Merry works with children, adolescents, adults, couples, families, and groups to help them better cope with such issues as anxiety, panic disorders, self-esteem, stress, communication problems, depression, weight management and interpersonal relationships, as well as with those who are dealing with stress and trauma as the result of physical, emotional, or sexual abuse. In addition, Merry offers support and counseling to those having difficulty adjusting to vision loss or blindness. She also offers spiritual counseling on request.
